November 2004 - Dedication Scheduled for the Spring of 2005

FOBM volunteers Sandy & Pierre Tetreault braved chilly weather in November to complete the last major task for the 2004 season - installing the galvanized security railing in the Bald Mt. Fire Tower cab. - Photos above by B. Ball

The Friends of Bald Mt. Tower are extremely grateful to Ed Potts of Norwood, NY who constructed the new steel window frames and the security railing. Sight unseen, Ed worked with the measurements we sent to him - and they fit perfectly! Then ... Ed transported them to Utica, NY to: O.W. HUBBELL AND SONS GALVANIZING (It's Us or Rust!), 40 Greenman Avenue, New York Mills, NY 13417 for galvanizing. Long-time seasonal residents of the Fulton Chain, the Hubbell family volunteered their services to us the very first year that the Friends of Bald Mt. organized.

We couldn't have done it without you! Thanks from all the Friends of Bald (Rondaxe) Mt.

You too can help by sending a donation to the address below. All donations of $10 or more will receive a Friends of Bald Mt. Patch - limited supply so contact us soon!
